My Motivation Letter

Contoh Motivation Letter buat melanjutkan pendidikan di Luar Negeri. Masih jauh dari sempurna, tapi lumayan lah buat contoh.

I am Muhsin Abdul Gani, a medical doctor, graduated from Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University in September 2008. After graduation Senior High School in 2001, I studied in Faculty of Medicine for four and half years. In May 2006, I got my bachelor degree in Medical Science called Bachelor of Medicine (it is called “Sarjana Kedokteran” in Indonesian). I took my clerkship program in June 2006 for two years. I had to complete 15 departments such as pediatrics, surgery, internal medicine and so on to get my degree in medical science as a medical doctor. I worked in university hospital as a clerk man. I helped my professors and medical consultants in treating people in that hospital. We got our medical skills there.
We might take an exam and short thesis to pass each department. I started my clerkship program with cardiology department and finished in obstetric and gynecology department. In November 2008, I attended Indonesian Examination for Physician Standardization. One month later the result announced and I passed it.

After got my bachelor degree in Medical Science, I worked in a local Non Government Organization (NGO) which focused on justice and peace projects in Aceh. Justice and peace include all life sectors. Health is one of the most important sector that we must take care intensively. I was a health program manager who managed all health programs in our organization such as mobile clinics, health promotion, etc. Sometimes, I helped other managers to publish our activities in many ways; articles in some newspapers, news in radios and televisions and some meetings with communities. I also treated people in some villages in Aceh. When I was a medical student, I used to join social and health activities which held by my campus or students organization.

Being a medical scientist is my vision when I was a senior high school student. That is the reason why I would like to take my doctoral degree. My supervisors suggested me to take a specialization in medicine because a specialization in medical science is more benefit than to be a medical scientist, especially in Indonesia. But I think to be a medical scientist makes me learn much about medical itself.

Molecular medicine and neuroscience become popular sciences now. But in my province, Aceh, I think we have not a molecular medicine and neuroscience scientist yet. We only have some internists and neurologist. Although Government of Aceh needs more specialization medical doctors to treat community complicated diseases, Aceh also needs more molecular medicine and neuroscience scientists to develop medical science there.

Based on the explanation, so I have strong willingness to study it in Germany and complete my doctoral degree in MD-PhD program Molecular Medicine or Neuroscience. I think the development of medical sciences especially molecular medicine and neuroscience in the world should be followed by all countries. Indonesia and especially Aceh province must take a part with it to make a better future in Aceh after Tsunami.

After coming back from Germany, I would like to transfer my knowledge to my communities including medical students. I would like to be a lecturer in my campus, Faculty of Medicine Syiah Kuala University. I will facilitate a laboratory which makes some experiments in molecular medicine.
